RepsBaby! is not medical care
RepsBaby! records sets, reps, and resistance and can suggest exercises from a catalog or your history. It does not evaluate your health, diagnose an injury, replace medical care, or determine whether an exercise is safe for you.
Consult a qualified healthcare professional before beginning or changing an exercise program if you have a medical condition, injury, are pregnant, have been inactive, or are unsure about your ability to exercise safely.
Prepare before you begin
Choose a safe training area with enough space, stable footing, suitable lighting, and appropriate ventilation. Warm up for the movements you plan to perform and make sure you know how to complete them with controlled technique.
Use appropriate resistance
Select bodyweight variations, weights, and bands that you can control through the intended range of motion. Increase resistance, repetitions, sets, or training frequency gradually rather than changing several demands at once.
A previous logged value is context, not a requirement to match or exceed it today.
Inspect equipment and surroundings
Check benches, racks, fasteners, plates, dumbbells, bands, anchors, footwear, and other equipment before use. Do not use damaged, frayed, unstable, or improperly secured equipment.
Use safety arms, collars, spotters, and manufacturer instructions when appropriate. Resistance bands can recoil unexpectedly if an anchor or band fails.
Prioritize technique
Use a range of motion and speed you can control. Stop a set when fatigue prevents safe technique. New or complex movements should be learned with qualified instruction, especially when performed under load or overhead.
Know when to stop
Stop exercising if you experience sharp or sudden pain, dizziness, faintness, chest pain or pressure, unusual shortness of breath, confusion, loss of coordination, or another concerning symptom.
Seek urgent medical help when symptoms may be serious. Call your local emergency services for an emergency; do not rely on the app for emergency guidance.
Treat progress estimates as estimates
RepsBaby! may calculate an estimated one-repetition maximum from logged weight and repetitions. That value is a reporting estimate, not a recommendation or instruction to attempt that weight.
Band labels and user-entered resistance values are not independently verified, and suggested exercises are not personalized assessments.
Allow recovery and adapt
Rest, hydration, nutrition, sleep, recent illness, heat, stress, and accumulated fatigue can affect performance. Adjust or stop a planned workout when conditions make the session inappropriate.
Personal bests and progress summaries are records, not pressure to increase performance every session.
